Fractional Integrator
The day-to-day partner every visionary owner needs.

You built the business. You see where it’s going. What you need now is someone to help you run it — maybe a second-in-command or an advisor who helps turn your vision into an operating plan, holds your team accountable, and frees you to lead.

That’s the work of a fractional Integrator — a part-time COO who steps in for a defined period to bring structure, cadence, and follow-through within your company.

You may be ready for an Integrator if…
-
You’re the owner/CEO, and you’re the bottleneck on most decisions.
-
Your leadership team is capable, but no one is accountable for the whole operation.
-
You have a strategy on paper and a team in place — but execution keeps slipping.
-
You know you need a full-time #2, and you’re not ready to hire one yet.
-
Revenue is between $3M and $250M, with 10–200 people on the team.
Services
Fractional Integrator Engagement
The flagship: a part-time, time-bound engagement where I step in as your fractional COO. Typically one to three days per week, 6–18 months, with specific goals outlined beforehand. Onsite, remote, or hybrid.

Integrator / COO Coaching
For companies with an Integrator already in place — especially a newer to the role — I come alongside as a coach and sounding board so that person flourishes. I help with meetings, scorecards, team development, best practices for managing up to the Visionary/CEO.

Leadership Team Coaching
A lighter-touch option: help running a disciplined leadership meeting, building a scorecard, and getting everyone rowing in the same direction.

CEO Sounding Board
Hourly, on-demand. A trusted ear for ideas, frustrations, and decisions in motion — without judgment, and with advice only when you ask.

V/TO audit
For companies running on EOS — a focused review of your Vision/Traction Organizer with a fresh set of experienced eyes. Audit all eight sections or zero in on one, done with the leadership team in the room so the V/TO improves and the team’s grasp of EOS deepens.
A fractional COO for the messy middle between strategy and execution.
As a Fractional Integrator, I take on the operational leadership of your company on a contract basis. I sit between you and the leadership team, translate your vision into quarterly priorities, run the meeting rhythm that keeps everyone aligned, and make sure the plan actually gets executed.

My framework of choice is the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) — I’m an EOS Masterclass graduate and former member of the Integrator Mastery Forum. If you’re not on EOS, we’ll still hold the same operating discipline: clear roles, measurable priorities, honest scorecards, and a steady weekly rhythm.

A purist about the fundamentals.
About Bret
I’m a Fractional Integrator and operations partner based in Milford, Michigan, with more than fifteen years of leadership across healthcare, education, service, and technology.

I’ve spent my career sitting one seat to the right of the owner — the person who takes the vision, the people, and the pressure and turns it into an operation that works. I co-founded and sold a regional autism healthcare company, ran operations for medical practices, and led sales and provider relations for compounding pharmacies. In 2021 I moved to fractional work full-time.

Since then I’ve partnered with nine owner-led companies as their part-time COO, facilitated 850+ leadership and quarterly meetings, and worked across industries as varied as ABA therapy, a law firm, a McDonald’s franchise, online marketing, pest control, and facilities maintenance. What every engagement has in common is a founder ready to stop being the bottleneck — and a team ready to run the plan if someone will hold them to it.

How it Works
Unlimited Discovery Until There’s Clarity

Choosing a Fractional Integrator or Coach is a big decision, and one 30-minute call is rarely enough to make it well. So I do something most advisors don’t: I keep showing up until we both have clarity.

Discovery happens in focused 30-minute sessions — you can book as many as you need. No meter running. No pressure to commit. If it takes two conversations to know we’re the right fit, we have two. If it takes five, we have five. We stop when the answer is clear either way — and if the answer is “no,” that’s still a good outcome.
Process:
-
Discovery. Thirty-minute sessions, as many as we need, until we both have clarity on whether to work together.
-
Deep dive. I meet your leadership team, review the numbers, and look at how the business actually runs — then deliver a written summary of what I see.
-
Engagement design. We scope the work: weekly time commitment, onsite/remote/hybrid, length, first-90-day priorities, expected outcomes. All in writing before we start.
-
In the seat. I run your weekly leadership meeting, maintain a living scorecard, facilitate quarterly planning, and meet with you weekly. Every 90 days we review and adjust.
-
Handoff. Every engagement ends — that’s the point. To a full-time hire, to an internal leader we’ve developed, or back to you with a team that now runs itself.

Let’s Talk
The best way to know if I'm a right fit for your company is a 30-minute conversation. No slides, no pitch — just a real look at the business and an honest answer about what would help.
